60 years of S.A.V. culminated with the acquisition by Sapes Spa, on behalf of the Ori Martin Group
The beginning of our history has deep roots going back more than 100 years. In fact, steelmaking has been handed down from generation to generation from the 1920s to the present day.

The founders were the 3 Tapini brothers Piero, Enrico, and Cesarino. In 2025 the acquisition by the Ori Martin Group

1920The grandfather of the three founders, Pietro, opened a workshop in Lavenone in Val Sabbia (BS) where, together with his son Giuseppe, they produced steel buckets for construction.

1927Father and son moved to Malpaga di Casto (BS) in a new workshop, carrying out the same production of steel buckets.

1957The whole Tapini family, including mother, moved to Nave (BS) where they began to print agricultural components with a shearwater.

1962Transfer to Caino (BS).

1963The three brothers, Piero, Enrico and Cesarino, founded S.A.V. in a new shed where they purchased two hammers.

1970Foundation of the F.I.A. where the first automatic gas ovens were engineered: a revolution for the sector, so much so that they were renamed by the market as "The Tapini ovens". At the same time, the second warehouse was built to expand the production department.

1972The first press is purchased: a novelty for the hot molding sector which allowed the company to be at the forefront of the market.

1975Purchase of the second press to replace one of the two hammers.

1979Purchase of the third press and replacement of the second hammer. The first rolling mill is added online in order to speed up the production process.

1980Cesarino sells his share to his brothers and leaves the company.

1989The second generation enters the company first with Giuseppe and Daniele, Piero's sons, and then with Fabrizio, Enrico's son.

1996Installation of a fourth production line with the purchase of the fourth 1,600 ton press. The most powerful.

2000The factory is expanded, creating new offices and a new warehouse adjacent to the two warehouses. The third generation enters the company: first with Alessandro in 2008 and then with Lorenzo in 2020, during Covid.
